WHAT IS PADEL?
The Sport Taking Over the World
Padel is a fast-paced, social racquet sport that combines elements of tennis and squash into a game that is easy to learn, fun from the first point, and hard to stop playing.
Played primarily as doubles on an enclosed court, padel uses the surrounding glass walls as part of the game — creating longer rallies, unexpected shots, and plenty of action.
Never played? That’s exactly why we’re here.
At The Heights, we’re building Minnesota’s padel community one new player at a time.

WHAT DO I NEED TO PLAY?
Not much.
Come ready to move in comfortable athletic clothing and court shoes.
Padel uses a solid, stringless racquet that's smaller than a tennis racquet and easier for new players to control. The ball looks similar to a tennis ball but is specifically designed for padel.
Don't have a padel paddle yet?
No problem. We have free demos!

HOW DO YOU PLAY PADEL?
If you've played tennis, pickleball, squash, racquetball — or really any racquet sport — you'll recognize pieces of the game.
But you do not need racquet experience to start playing.
4 Players
Padel is typically played 2 vs. 2, making it an incredibly social game.
Underhand Serve
Every point begins with an underhand serve after bouncing the ball behind the service line. No intimidating overhead tennis serve required.
Use the Walls
Here's where things get fun.
Once the ball bounces on your side, it can rebound off the glass and remain in play. Learning to use the walls is one of the biggest differences between padel and other racquet sports.
Tennis-Style Scoring
Padel uses familiar tennis scoring:
15 → 30 → 40 → Game
Matches are typically played as the best of three sets.
